- PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:_
- Recruit and maintain talented human resources
- Manage staffing and scheduling to ensure optimal coverage on all shifts
- Delegate work, identify roles and responsibilities within the Operation
- Ensure compliance with all relevant SOP's and good business practices
- Analyze and delegate the line staff workload, developing efficient workflows
- Develop local operational procedures and policies that ensure quality within the organization
- Train staff in handling procedures and oversee recurrent training of staff
- Conduct performance evaluations and reviews
- Oversee all shipment activity
- Monitoring notes on the gateway WorldSTAR to ensure timely responses
- Ensure that refrigeration/ temperature control equipment is operational and meets QC standards.
- Comply with FAA, TSA, FDA and other regulations that impact our organization
- Troubleshoot and issue resolution, prioritize and resolve problems throughout the day
- Maintain positive employee morale and promote a cooperative and harmonious working environment
- Ensure a clean and safe work environment for our associates
- Manage office operating expenses
- Meet company reporting deadlines
- Maintain local vendor relationships and ensuring quality standards are maintained
- Understand and implement new technology to increase productivity and performance
- Provide regular feedback to the Station Manager on anything impacting the business
What your background should look like
EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:_

Minimum of an associate degree or 5 years relevant experience is required.

MINIMUM SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITY REQUIREMENTS:

- Provide leadership and direction for the department.
- Communicate and build professional relationships.
