**Sales Associate**

The Sales Associate is responsible for providing prompt, courteous and efficient service to customers. Advise customers on appropriate merchandise and related items; processing transactions (cash, credit card, debit card) using retail software; ticketing and replenishing merchandise, cycle counting, and general housekeeping.
- Assist customers in locating merchandise in the store
- Work at the cashier desk processing cash, debit and credit transactions
- Ensure customers are greeted upon entering the store
- Determine customer's needs by asking open-ended questions
- Communicate product knowledge to the customer as appropriat
- Assist customers in locating and comparing merchandise
- Assist customers with finding all items needed to complete their project
- Assist customers with carrying out of large or heavy items
- Help unload incoming trucks
- Keep stock in storage area neat, clean, and orderly
- Participate in regular cycle counting, and assist in taking annual inventory counts
- Attend store meetings, training sessions, etc. as required
- Work on additional duties and assignments as assigned by management

**Qualifications**
- Team Player
- Reliable
- Willing to work weekends
- Retail experience an asset
- Hardware knowledge an asset
- Experience using social media an asset

**Job Type**: Part-time
Part-time hours: 15-25 per week

**Salary**: From $15.50 per hour

Day range:

- Monday to Friday
- Weekend availability

Work Location: In person
