As the Proofreader, you will need to have a keen eye for grammar, spelling and syntax. You will need to review consistency of messaging by ensuring all necessary legal T&C's are included and referenced correctly and trademarks, registered symbols, logos, addresses are correctly applied. This position will be joining a creative studio and will be fully remote.

**What you will be doing**:

- Work closely with the Creative Services Manager/production team to ensure that jobs are completed in a timely manner
- Partner with Traffic Manager to understand schedules, changing priorities, volume, etc.
- Keep project on track during the transition through proofing process with internal and external teams, being aware of final due dates on projects
- Perform all quality control for the studio which includes but is not limited to ensuring the following:

- All final deliverables are of perfect quality
- All files pass control specifications set by us for the specification set by the publication/printer
- Check to see if the job done by the studio meets all requirements
- Uphold brand voice, tone, multicultural syntax, etc.
- Manage ongoing enhancements to the Brand & Creative style guide
- Help Account Managers/production team to ensure that all files are of a suitable quality to work with at the start of the campaign or project
- Monitor the quality of all work produced in studio
- Provide support to the Copy Editor in keeping a log of mistakes and help devise ways to stop the errors in future
- Make sure all operators file and name work correctly including the artists adhere to the appropriate workflows for any project
- Work cross-brand during high volume days
- Mark-up materials digitally

**What you need to be great in this role**:

- BA Degree (English or Writing preferable) or related work experience
- Advertising agency or design firm experience strongly preferred
- 3-4 years of proofreading experience
- Customer service skills, with 2 years of experience working in a role that works with different agency teams i.e., creative, account
- Written and interpersonal skills, prior experience working as part of creative team, someone used to the flow of work at an agency
- Highly organized, able to manage multiple projects at one time
- Must be able to work independently
- Acute attention to detail
- Ability to prioritize workload
- Ability to check all material types produced for specific brands
- Ability to work with the teams to ensure all marketing materials follow brand guidelines
- 2 years prior experience taking direction and working with the account management teams
