**Shift**: Morning shift Monday - Saturday (5days a week on a shiftwork basis, days may vary)

**Salary**:$21/hr

**Sliced FC is a Fresh Cut Processor with two state of the art facilities located in Western Canada. We provide a wide assortment of fruit and vegetable products utilizing produce sourced from certified growers around the world We are continually growing our selection of food service and retail items, and we specialize in designing custom programs to fit our customers' needs. By being flexible, innovative, and having the ability to deliver within hours to surrounding areas, the Sliced FC team is able to provide long lasting fresh-cut produce.**

**Focus**

The primary focus of the Production Lead is to ensure production targets are met in a timely fashion, while ensuring the highest standards of food safety and quality. The Production Lead position is a valuable part of our production team.

**Key Accountabilities**:

- Demonstrate and instruct Team Members how to safely complete tasks and follow procedures
- Ensure that defined procedures and safe work practices are being followed at all times
- Monitor and evaluate performance of Team Members, ensuring meticulous quality of work; provide regular feedback and constructive criticism to achieve desired results
- Notify management of any actual or potential Food Safety issue.
- Regular stacking of pallets with a weight of up to 40lbs
- Work on the fresh produce production line with consistent speed and accuracy
- Willingness to perform work with knives and other kitchen utensils that involves cutting, peeling and scooping produce
- Ability to perform repetitive tasks
- Maintain productivity and efficiency without compromising quality
- Operate machinery correctly and safely
- Maintain a clean and safe work area
- Report any deviation on equipment or utensils conditions
- Report any concerns or foreign material in the Raw material, Work in Progress or Finished Product
- Demonstrate a positive and professional attitude
- Abide by Good Manufacturing Practices which includes observing all policies & procedures and following all written & verbal instructions

**Education and Experience**:

- Minimum 1 year in a similar Team Lead or Supervisory role required
- Minimum 1 year food handling experience
- Previous experience with computer (Microsoft and Dynamics (D365)) is and asset but not required.
- First aid training would be an asset

**Working Conditions**
- Hours may be irregular and in excess of 8 hours per day or 40 hours per week
- Work outside ordinary office hours (including weekends, evenings and holidays) may be required

**Physical Requirements**
- Prolonged periods of standing
- Ability to grasp, manipulate, move, and assemble objects
- Frequent lifting, carrying of up to 40lbs
- Frequent walking
- Occasional handling of cleaning tools
- Working in a consistent temperature of 2 degrees Celsius
