We are currently seeking a **_Fleet Maintenance Manager _**to join our team at our **_Sudbury Terminal_**.

Reporting to the Director of Maintenance, the Fleet Maintenance Manager Is responsible for leading, managing and supervising the Maintenance teams in Sudbury and Mississauga. This position will reduce maintenance operating costs, optimize equipment repairs and increase equipment availability. You will be responsible for the entire life cycle of all fleet assets and will provide support, coaching and direction to the equipment coordinators, foremen/women and supervisors.

**Duties and Responsibilities**:

- Oversee coordination of equipment repairs and ensure timely and effective records are kept for all fleet assets
- Develop, maintain and implement all Gardewine Maintenance policies and communicate maintenance requirements to ensure maximum efficiency
- Coordinate equipment utilization and performance with various operation groups
- Provide after-hours support
- Develop and maintain good relationships with vendors and leasing companies
- Analyze maintenance costs and/or repairs and provide expert recommendations
- Interpret system data and reports enabling consistency, improvement and the execution of preventative fleet maintenance
- Lead, practice and oversee safety in all shops to ensure an accident and incident free environment
- Participate as needed in other activities that support the Maintenance department and overall company objectives and goals
- Provide data and reports to the Director of Maintenance

**Skills and Experience**:

- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a Fleet Management role with technical/mechanical expertise working in a large maintenance facility
- Postsecondary education considered an asset
- Strong leadership and troubleshooting skills to manage a large diverse team; as well as, excellent vendor management skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build beneficial and lasting relationships with internal and external customers
- Excellent time management and organizational skills with the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
- Basic accounting knowledge and ability to use MS Office and telematics software

**Physical Requirements**:

- Must be able to lift, bend, stoop, squat, drive, walk, and stand for long periods
- Required to climb in and out of trucks and trailers
- Need to have a good sense of balance with hand and foot coordination with ability to assess weights and judge distances and heights
- Ability to work in varying temperatures, depending upon the season
- Must be able to operate power equipment
- Personal protective equipment must be worn
