**Position Title**: Director, Strategic Sourcing/Supply Chain Logistics

**Reports to**:Senior Vice President, Foodservices

**Location**:Mississauga, ON

We are currently searching for a Director, Strategic Sourcing/Supply Chain Logistics. Reporting to the Senior Vice President, Foodservices, the Director of Strategic Sourcing/Supply Chain Logistics will oversee the purchasing of all food, beverage, packaging, and small wares for Boston Pizza restaurants and their distribution across Canada.

The Director will re-engineer the purchasing processes to ensure franchisees are getting the best products at best possible price. Working collaboratively with the Culinary planning team the Director would be responsible for identifying and developing new suppliers of innovative and trend relevant products to support Boston Pizza International’s long term culinary platform as well as their near-term marketing plans.

This individual will also work closely with all departments that bring products to market, ensuring the supply of permanent and LTO menu items within the distribution network. Some travel will be required.

**Duties and Responsibilities**

The Director of Strategic Sourcing/Supply Chain Logistics is responsible for (but not limited to):
**_ Leadership_**
- Oversee and lead the functions of Strategic Sourcing & Supply Chain logistics
- Develop a collaborative, high-performance team, with the ability to adapt quickly to change and function effectively in a complex, franchisee-centric organization
- Guide the team in data-driven problem solving to determine root cause and implement solutions
- Evolve the company’s overall supply chain vision, strategy, and tactics
- Establish and lead the implementation of annual goals, objectives and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for the Supply Chain team that align with the organization’s vision and goals for profitability and franchisee satisfaction
- Create and follow annual operating plans, department budgets and inflation forecasting
- Maintain effective communication with all internal departments and external vendors
- Implement strategies and best practices to optimize operations, efficiency, food and team member safety, product consistency, and guest satisfaction

**_Strategic Sourcing/Supply Chain Logistics_**
- Provide oversight to all purchasing activities and ensure the integrity of all vendor partners and manage supply risk accordingly
- Develop strategic sourcing approaches for key ingredients, especially core produce items
- Identify and implement initiatives and process improvements to deliver savings, improve fulfillment, and drive franchisee satisfaction in the short and long term
- Establish and maintain measurable performance metrics for all levels of procurement activities to include but not limited to supplier performance, supplier quality, buyer activity levels, and material availability
- Report to SVP Foodservice on the measurable status of progress and corrective actions as it pertains to supplier performance
- Identify new vendor and sourcing strategies to assist in new product development
- Actively seek out alternate sources and streamlined processes to reduce costs, improve service level, or increase the quality of goods and services procured
- Development of purchasing strategies, policies and procedures using industry-leading methodologies to lower COG’s including but not limited to, the following:

- A detailed review of all contracts and re-negotiation as necessary
- Detailed review of supplier network and related transportation logistics and associated costs
- Restructuring of the RFP process
- Development of a quarterly cost tracker report
- Work alongside the Construction/Development and Operations teams to source and negotiate the price of current and new equipment and other programs as required
- Ensure compliance with all government regulations relating to the Supply Chain function
- Manage material flow to ensure inventory is maintained to the optimum level to support on-time restaurant deliveries while keeping inventory holdings at the appropriate levels
- Coordinate and expedite the delivery of critical goods to end-users

**Background Experience and Skills**:

- 8 to 10 years in a senior purchasing role within a national casual dining concept
- Bachelor degree in business, commerce, finance or equivalent. PMAC certification an asset
- Proven ability to lower COG’s while maintaining quality of product
- Ability to establish collaborative relationships with the supplier community with an emphasis on long term planning
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Enjoys working with franchisees and getting input and buy-in
