**Reports to**:Centre Director and Head Cook

We are seeking a dedicated and organized Prep Cook to join our child care centre's kitchen team. The Prep Cook will assist in preparing healthy, nutritious meals and snacks for children, ensuring adherence to dietary needs and safety standards.

Responsibilities include meal preparation, maintaining a clean and organized workspace, following established menus, and supporting the cook or chef with daily kitchen operations.

**Qualifications**:

- Previous kitchen or food preparation experience preferred.
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
- Strong teamwork and communication skills.
- Passion for providing nutritious meals to children.
- Current certificate in Food Safety Handling
- Current Standard First Aid and CPR
- Current Criminal Reference and Vulnerable Sector Check
- Current Child Abuse Registry letter
- Current WHMIS training
