Lead Barista

**About Us**:At The Patch Brewery, we take pride in offering locally crafted beer, farm-fresh food, and excellent hospitality - and that includes our coffee program. We’re looking for an experienced and passionate Lead Barista to join our team full-time. This role is perfect for someone who loves coffee as much as they love connecting with people and creating memorable guest experiences.

**Position Overview**:As a Barista, you’ll be responsible for crafting high-quality espresso beverages, dialing in espresso, and ensuring consistency and excellence in every cup. You’ll work closely with our front-of-house and kitchen teams to maintain a welcoming, efficient, and professional café environment within the brewery.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Prepare and serve espresso-based beverages and brewed coffee to The Patch standards
- Dial in espresso and calibrate grinders daily
- Taste espresso and adjust recipes to maintain consistent quality
- Provide friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable customer service
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the coffee bar and service area
- Assist in training new team members as needed
- Support daily opening and closing procedures
- Clean the machine, following the cleaning instructions
- Keep up to date on stock requirements of the coffee bar

**Qualifications**:

- Minimum 1 year of barista experience in a café that dials in espresso (not chain-based)
- Strong understanding of espresso extraction and milk texturing
- Previous leadership or supervisor experience in a café setting (an asset)
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Valid Serving It Right certification (required)
- Availability Monday-Friday daytime preferred; flexibility to work occasional weekend/holiday shifts is an asset
