**The Opportunity**

As a Wellness Coach and Y Thrive Champion you have an integral role in ensuring front line delivery of quality health and wellness assistance that enhances member achievement of whole life fitness goals in a positive, inclusive, safe, and values-based environment. You will help the fitness department reach facility goals, while having fun along the way Reporting to the Health, Fitness and Recreation Manager, this role focuses on relationship building on an individual and community scale.

**Responsibilities**
- Provide on floor supervision of the Fitness Centre, acting as a host to provide a friendly and welcoming atmosphere
- Provide orientations (one on one and in a group setting) and Y Thrive appointments as scheduled (certification provided)
- Ensure that all fitness program areas and the general facility at large are kept to the highest standard of cleanliness
- Alert HFR Manager in a timely manner when equipment is not in working order
- Lead fitness classes as scheduled / needed on a regular and fill-in basis
- Help monitor recreational sports as necessary per the posted schedule
- Other duties as assigned

**Qualifications & Skills**
- Standard First Aid and CPR Level C
- YMCA Group Strength/NSFA Resistance Leader/ canfitpro Fitness Instructor Specialist or equivalent
- Able to work flexible hours
- Bilingualism an asset
