**Purpose**

This position is in the Winnipeg Commercial Banking Office. The portfolios have seasonality when tight deadlines and occasional extended working hours can be expected.

**Accountabilities**:
**Credit & Compliance adjudication support**:

- Organize and prepare documentation and correspondence relating to customer requirements.
- Recording information from various sources to complete customer reports and records on client profiles.
- Verifying information through investigation, such as credit bureau reports, telephone reference checks.
- Participating in AML/Compliance reports and correspondence preparation.
- Completing the spreading of financial statements and/ or customer financial information in Credit Lens in an accurate and timely manner as per authorized frequency requirements.
- Keeping up to date of changes in accounting practices, federal/ provincial tax regulations, and other factors as they relate to the interpretation of financial statements.
- Ensuring that all relevant correspondence and authorizations are properly stored in the Shared Document Repository (SDR).
- Understand how the Bank’s risk appetite and risk culture should be considered in day-to-day activities and decisions.
- Completing other various duties as assigned by management.

**Provide superior customer service to the network Farm Supply Dealerships and individuals by**:

- Developing and maintaining a deep understanding of IAF and Bank policies and procedures.
- Developing and maintaining a sound knowledge and understanding of the programs offered, including the benefits to both the Dealers and the customers.
- Maintaining a good working relationship with IAF third party partners and all internal partners.
- Responding promptly and effectively to requests, concerns and complaints from customers, dealers, IAF third party partners, team members, and internal partners.
- Providing other support as required for compliance, credit, client-facing and/ or fulfillment activities, and other analysis and deliverables.
- Creating and executing all ad hoc report requests received from the IAF senior leadership team.
- Gathering documentation and financial information required to support internal and external stakeholder requirement packages.

**Contribute to the Department’s productivity and service and the Bank’s financial and non-financial objectives by**:

- Organizing work to maximize productivity.
- Actively identifying and participating with recommendations/ ideas for process and systems improvements.
- Identifying and referring to the appropriate sales officer existing and new business opportunities through his/ her ongoing customer contact.
- Providing other support as required to IAF’s senior leadership team for compliance, AML, credit, client-facing and/or fulfillment activities, and other analysis and deliverables.
- Understand how the Bank’s risk appetite and risk culture should be considered in day-to-day activities and decisions.
- Completing all function-specific documentation accurately as per Bank standards to protect both the organization and the customer.
- Actively pursuing effective and efficient operations of his/her respective areas, while ensuring the adequacy, adherence to and effectiveness of day-to-day business controls to meet obligations with respect to operational risk, regulatory compliance risk, AML/ATF risk and conduct risk, including but not limited to responsibilities under the Operational Risk Management Framework, Regulatory Compliance Risk Management Framework, AML/ATF Global Handbook and the Guidelines for Business Conduct.

**Education / Experience / Other Information (include only those that are specific to the role)**
- The Credit Officer must have proven financial analysis, good credit judgement and a good knowledge of the Bank’s lending policies, practices, and procedures. Critical attention to detail is necessary for success.
- They will work on moderately complex financial solutions and will interact with clients and internal partners by gathering information and responding to internal inquiries. They must have strong organizational skills to monitor portfolio requirements, collect, and assimilate large volumes of information from various sources and concisely populate the information into a credit or compliance communication.
- Bachelor of Commerce or Business Degree or similar is preferred with 1- 3 years of related work experience.
