We are a publishing company specializing in bilingual children’s books in over 50 languages, and we are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Publisher Assistant to join our team. This position is initially part-time, with the possibility of freelancing, and may be extended to a full-time role in the future.

**Responsibilities**:

- **Administrative Support**:

- Manage schedules, deadlines, and communication with authors, illustrators, designers, translators, narrators, and editors.
- Maintain accurate records of manuscripts, contracts, and correspondence.
- Regularly update and maintain the company catalog to ensure all information is accurate and up-to-date.
- **Production Coordination**:

- Assist with preparing files for publication (knowledge of InDesign, Photoshop, Acrobat, and Word is required).
- Follow up with printers, suppliers, and distributors to ensure timely production and delivery.
- **Marketing and Distribution**:

- Assist in creating marketing materials, including catalog entries, newsletters, and social media posts.
- Regularly update and manage the company website and social media channels to promote books and events.
- Help manage book inventory, order processing, and distribution to retailers and customers.

**Qualifications**:

- **Technical Skills**: Proficiency in InDesign, Photoshop, Excel, Word, and Acrobat software is essential.
- **Language Skills**: Strong English skills (reading, writing, and speaking) are required. Knowledge of additional languages is an advantage.
- **Personal Traits**: Attentive to detail, organized, open-minded, motivated, and highly creative.

**Additional Requirements**:

- **Passion**: A love for children’s literature and an understanding of storytelling for young audiences.

**Preferred Experience**:

- Previous experience in publishing, marketing, or administrative roles.
- Familiarity with book production processes or children’s educational materials.
