This facility provides specialized care for NSH patients in the central zone who no longer require hospital care but need additional support and services before safely returning home or to their community. Establishes, maintains, processes, and updates files, records, and other documents, including master lists, client admissions/ transfers / discharges; maintains client discharge files. Prepares requisitions for diagnostic and therapeutic services for patients and coordinates appointments with other departments. Accepts and schedules appointments, makes appropriate entries, completes required hospital forms, and notifies appropriate staff; Maintains books, ledgers, manuals accurately and up to date; e.g. workload measurement statistics, census, diet sheets, time sheets, payroll, policies, procedures and standards. Performs clerical duties related to procedures such as admission, discharge, transfers, death. After discharge, prepares health record chart and sends to NSH Health Records. Provides administrative support to all team members as required. Additional duties as required About You In addition to placing high value on continuous improvement, collaboration and accountability, you bring:  A graduate of an approved 2-year Office Administration / Professional Secretarial diploma or university degree (i.e., Bachelor of Secretarial Science)  Minimal 3-5 years of related experience Ability to type 80 words per minute;  Knowledge of general office procedures and equipment;  Ability to operate personal computers including various software packages including Word, Excel, Power Point, MS Publisher and various database software applications;  About Us Shannex is a family-owned organization with a vision of Better Living for every stage of life.
