Snowball Studios is a vibrant animation studio with studios in Toronto and Tel Aviv. Snowball has produced hundreds of minutes of top quality, 3D animation and visual effects for film, tv, computer games, commercials and mobile, which are aired all over the world.

Snowball Studios is looking for a Layout Artist to join its team in a new Production. Layout Artist is responsible for executing the cinematography aspects of the animated production.

**Duties and Responsibilities**
- Create all cameras and establish character staging, camera positioning and animate camera movement.
- Add simple character movement to block out shots.
- Prepare sequences for use in production.
- Give regular updates to the Supervisor and Production Management on the progress of work in production.
- Provide technical set-up of shots for downstream production departments.

**Qualifications**
- Reel containing examples of work done in a 3D computer graphics environment which includes entire sequences where you were responsible for all of the layout work.
- Work should demonstrate a strong emphasis on visual storytelling including staging, composition, and editing.
- Animated or live-action personal projects and/or short films are encouraged, if available.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Film, Animation, or Fine Arts recommended, though not required.
- Able to work and communicate effectively in a collaborative, fast paced environment.
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Must be flexible and willing to learn.
- Work in 2D and 3D animation or compositing software a plus, but not required.
