Job Responsibilities
- Plan and assign tasks to Layout Artists.
- Oversee Layout Artists and ensure quality of work produced.
- Develop and manage the layout process and workflow.
- Work with CG department and Layout Artists to anticipate and troubleshoot any creative and technical issues.
- Work closely with CG and VFX Supervisors to define and maintain quality standards and client’s expectations.
- Communicate effectively with other departments to ensure artists complete their work in the most effective manner.
- Conduct research in accordance with current projects to stay up to date on knowledge related to specialty.
- Provide feedback to artists about their work to ensure the highest quality of work is being delivered.
- Provide mentorship and advise Layout Artists to ensure best practices are being employed.
- Promote a positive, productive, and collaborative work environment.
- Acts as an ambassador of Mavericks’s core values and studio culture.

Qualifications and Essential Skills:

- College diploma or equivalent in 2D or 3D computer graphics or visual arts
- 5+ years experience as Layout Artist
- 2+ years experience as a Supervisor
- Adapt matchmove cameras for the environment
- Experience using Shotgun
- Demonstrated leadership and supervisory skills
- Excellent attention to detail
- Ability to work independently
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work within a team environment, with a willingness to share knowledge and provide mentorship
