Stuart and Hill Construction, is a general contracting company offering construction services for the residential and commercial markets. We service the Simcoe/Muskoka region. We are looking for an enthusiastic Project Coordinator (Junior) to join our growing team Worksites are across Simcoe. We offer competitive compensation based on previous applicable experience.

This position will additionally support Stuart and Hill subsidiaries.

**PROJECT COORDINATOR (JUNIOR)**

**RESPONSIBLE FOR THE FOLLOWING**:

- Organization and coordination of multiple construction projects from bid preparation to project completion at an administrative level.
- Liaison between client and project lead
- Prepare timetables on projects
- Assist with scheduling, assigning and management of subcontractors with budget guidelines
- Obtain approvals for all work and sub-trades and any orders that have to be changed
- Consistent communication with various office personnel to ensure smooth running of operations at all times
- Assist preparation of professional work orders, purchase agreements and proposals
- Maintain open communication with the team, including frequent status updates and changes
- Answer telephone, screen and direct calls
- Assist with all aspects of administrative management
- Assist with purchasing and material procurement
- Receive materials, materials management (check material to packing slips ensure packing slips get filed in respective project files).
- Monitor site progress including progress photos and report to Management
- Shop drawing review, logging and distribution
- Communicate with subcontractors and coordinate activities
- Attend meetings and record minutes (ie., Owner, Sub-trade, Safety and coordination)
- Ensure workers are working in a safe manner consistent with the Occupational health and Safety Act
- Provide assistance with various administrative tasks, such as drafting and sending companywide communication, supporting hiring processes, and assisting with employee onboarding. Help to maintain smooth and efficient operations within the company
- Perform other Project Coordination and administrative duties as assigned.

**REQUIREMENTS/SKILLS**:

- High school diploma with over 3-5 years relevant experience; post-secondary degree considered an asset (business administration, construction management etc.).
- Proficient in English: verbal and written
- Accurate and detail-orientated with a strong work ethic
- Ability to act with discretion when handling confidential information
- Ability to prioritize and manage own workflow to ensure quality and efficiency
- Ability to create, edit, proofread, and format documents/presentations with appropriate due diligence ensuring accuracy and deadlines
- Exceptional problem-solving abilities and a proactive mindset.
- High level of professionalism and integrity.
- Ability to work with constant deadlines, and a fast-paced environment is a key requirement. Must be comfortable in terms of multi-tasking.
