We are hiring for two stations: Meat and Deli Counters

Deli Clerks are to assist shoppers at the counter by recommending foods, providing samples of cheeses and cold cuts, cutting, weighing, packaging, and pricing cold cuts and cheeses, and responding to customer inquiries and requests. The deli clerk is to maintain clean work areas, update displays, and inform customers about specials, promotions, and new items.

Meat Clerks are responsible for serving customers in an attentive, friendly, and efficient manner. Interacting with customers in a friendly and service-oriented way.

**Meat Clerk Role Requirements**
- Available to work Thursday to Sunday (extended hours on occasion)
- Presentable and neat appearance
- Maintains a clean and safe work-space environment
- Endure medium levels of physical exertion (standing, bending, lifting, etc.)
- Equipment operation (weigh scales, meat slicers)
- Greeting customers in a cordial and friendly fashion
- Taking orders, selecting, weighing, pricing, and wrapping
- Serving customers with timely coordination and processing of orders
- Handle meat and comfort with use of knifes for cutting meat
- Packing, storage of meat
- Counter presentation & product merchandising
- Maintaining, clean and safe working environment

**Deli Clerk Role Requirements**
- Providing responsive, exceptional service to deli counter customers by answering questions, making recommendations, providing samples, and responding to requests.
- Recommending, slicing, weighing, packaging, and pricing cold cuts and cheeses.
- Receive products, properly place products on display.
- Ensuring that work areas are ready to service customers by cleaning surfaces, equipment, and floors, removing trash.
- Be a team player. Cooperating with others to ensure customer satisfaction.

**Meat Clerk Requirements**:

- Meat counter or food preparation experience is an asset
- Ability to lift items, ranging from 10-20 lbs, use knives for meat cutting; operate equipment, such as scales, cash registers, etc.
- Customer service and communication, skills.
- A courteous and efficient approach to handling customer requests, questions, and complaints.
- Work well in a team environment.

**Deli Clerk Requirements**:

- Deli counter or food preparation experience is an asset

**IMMEDIATE EMPLOYMENT AVAILABLE**

**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time

**Salary**: $17.00 per hour

- Thornhill, ON: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

- We ask that you consider committing a minimum of 1-year with Reesor’s. We provide extensive training on our equipment, the quality of meat/cheese, food safety and handling. Are you willing to commit and complete the training?
- Since we have two positions available (Deli and Meat Clerk), you may be required to work in either department. Are you comfortable handling all food products (raw meat, deli, cheese)?
