**Position Overview**

**Key Responsibilities**
- **Network Installation & Configuration**: Install, configure, and maintain networking hardware and software, including routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless access points.
- **Network Monitoring & Optimization**: Monitor network performance to ensure efficient operation, identifying and resolving any performance issues or bottlenecks.
- **Troubleshooting & Support**: Provide hands-on troubleshooting for network issues, both remotely and on-site, ensuring mínimal downtime and quick resolution.
- **Network Security**: Implement network security measures, such as firewalls, VPNs, and intrusion detection systems (IDS/IPS), to protect the network from potential security threats.
- **Documentation & Reporting**: Maintain accurate documentation for network configurations, troubleshooting guides, and system architecture. Generate periodic network health and security reports.
- **Network Upgrades & Maintenance**: Plan and execute regular network upgrades and maintenance schedules to ensure the system is current and optimized.
- **Collaboration with IT Team**: Work closely with other IT professionals, including IT infrastructure specialists and system administrators, to ensure seamless integration of networking solutions with other IT systems.
- **Vendor Management**: Work with vendors and third-party service providers to resolve network issues, procure hardware, and ensure the network meets business requirements.
- **Disaster Recovery & Backup**: Assist in implementing and maintaining disaster recovery plans, including network backup and restoration procedures.
- **End-User Support**: Provide support and training to end-users for network-related issues, such as connectivity problems or VPN access.
- **Project Management**: Assist in planning and implementing network-related projects, ensuring they align with organizational goals and timelines.

**Required Skills and Qualifications**
- **Education**: Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
- **Experience**: 3+ years of experience in network administration or network support, including hands-on experience with network devices and troubleshooting.
- **Technical Skills**:

- Proficiency with **networking protocols** (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, HTTP, etc.).
- Experience with **network hardware**, including routers, switches, and firewalls (Cisco, Juniper, etc.).
- Strong understanding of **VPNs**, **wireless networks**, and **network security**.
- Familiarity with **network monitoring tools** (e.g., SolarWinds, PRTG, Nagios).
- Experience with **IP addressing**, **subnetting**, and **VLANs**.
- Basic knowledge of **Linux/Unix** and **Windows Server** environments.
- **Certifications**:

- Preferred certifications include **CompTIA Network+**, **Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA)**, or equivalent network certification.
- **Problem-Solving Skills**: Strong troubleshooting skills, with the ability to resolve network issues efficiently and effectively.
- **Communication Skills**: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical staff.
- **Time Management**: Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects, balancing day-to-day support and larger network improvements.

**Preferred Skills and Experience**
- Experience with **firewall management** and **intrusion detection systems** (IDS/IPS).
