Located on the beautiful Toronto Islands, we are a 250+ slip marina, equipped with a fuel dock, restaurant, plus a private tender service that runs from Queens Quay & York Street directly to the marina.

The Duty Manager will provide excellent customer service while also ensuring Toronto Island Marina continues to be an enjoyable, professional and safe environment for customers and staff.

**Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to**:

- Supervise a team of 10+ summer staff
- Complete marina opening and closing procedures
- Handle cash and end of day reconciliation
- Complete transactions for purchases made at the chandlery
- Manage visitor reservations, arrivals, and departures
- Ensure all summer staff adhere to Toronto Island Marina health and safety practices and procedures
- Perform administrative and other tasks as assigned
- Ensure high customer and staff morale

**Related and Other Duties**
Fuel dock attendant, first mate

**Requirements**:

- Must be available to work flexible hours throughout the week, including evenings, weekends and holidays
- Experience in a supervisory role
- Experience in a marine environment or working near water an asset
- Ontario Pleasure Craft Operator Card is an asset
- First Aid Certification required
- Strong customer service skills required

**Expected start date**:
Between April 15th - 30th

**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time, Seasonal
Contract length: 5 months

**Salary**: From $18.00 per hour

Flexible Language Requirement:

- French not required

- 8 hour shift
- Day shift
- Evening shift
- Monday to Friday
- Morning shift
- Night shift
- Weekends as needed

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Toronto, ON: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

**Education**:

- Secondary School (required)

**Experience**:

- Customer service: 2 years (required)

**Language**:

- English (required)

Licence/Certification:

- First Aid Certification (preferred)
