Reporting to the District HSE Manager, the HSE Administrator will work closely with the HSE Manager to ensure that the administrative safety aspects of the Bird HSE Program are performed accurately and on time to support the execution of field operations.

This position is based in the Winnipeg Erin Street Office.

What You Will Be Working On- Updating and maintaining spreadsheets and databases.- Populating data for safety reports using the data in eCompliance and other sources.- Maintain statistics and records and monitor accident/incident frequencies and safety violations; assist in investigations and complete related documentation.- Ordering of materials (FLHA Cards, Orientation stickers, flagging tags, PPE, etc.)- Assist in annual review and update of Safe Work Practices, Procedures, and HSE Manual.- Assist in the planning and startup of new projects with respect to safety.- Inventory safety related training of workers; conduct new worker safety orientations, and schedule safety related training.- Maintenance of all HSE related documentation including printing, filing, scanning, ensuring completeness and accuracy.- Assist with the administrative and reporting/follow-up of WCB claims.- Regularly monitor compliance of employees and subcontractors with our HSE program.- Ensure completion of regular site inspection reports from field management; note resolution to any deficiencies or actions taken on the report.- Assist with safety meetings such as tool box talks, safety committee meetings and health and safety informational awareness.- Assist in the administration, documentation, and management of the Company’s COR program.- Keep management current on the status of any issue(s) that may impact on the work being performed.- Provide other administrative support to other district functions as required.- Other duties as assigned.

What We Are Looking For- HSE Administrator Certificate (HSA) or Administrative related post-secondary education or equivalent experience considered an asset.- Experience within the safety and/or construction industry is considered an asset.- Excellent working knowledge of MS Office software including; MS Excel, MS Word and MS Outlook.- Ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously and meet the time demands of unpredictable activities; capable of handling pressure and challenges.- Keen attention to detail.- Ability to work within tight deadlines and prioritization of work to achieve them.- Strong organization skills.- Self-motivated, action oriented and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment or independently on routine tasks with a positive attitude.- Demonstrates a sense of urgency and strong commitment to achieving goals; ability to work in challenging, fast paced environment.- Superior written and verbal communication skills.
