We are currently seeking to add an **Assistant Trainer** to the team to assist with delivering rope access and construction certification services. The worker will report directly to the Training Manager and Company Directors.

**Duties & Responsibilities**
- Follow all Company Policies, Procedures and Instructions inclusive of health and safety regulations at all times.
- Report to Training Manager and support Lead Trainers
- Assist Training Division with the following:

- Assist supervision of all aspects of course safety and trainee supervision.
- Competent and thorough delivery of the relevant course materials as assigned.
- Instruct courses in accordance to RAM Training Procedures and Training Manuals
- Be a visible leader in safety; observing and coaching trainees in constructive and respectful ways.
- Assist in the development of training initiatives and projects.
- Close direct supervision of trainees at all times as directed by the Lead Trainer.
- Maintain the training facility and training equipment in a safe, tidy and hygienic condition
- Remove faulty or damaged equipment from the training area and delivery of these items to the lead trainer or training manager.
- Disassembly, inspection and storage of equipment at the end of each course.
- Assistance with course administrative duties including: trainees, training products, quality and safety reviews, reporting and auditing.
- Accurately populating and maintaining the training division database and documentation
- Performs other duties as assigned, in accordance with Company and division objectives.
- Traveling to various work locations throughout the region as required. (If interested in supplemental field/construction work)

**Required Certifications & Qualifications**
- Rope Access Experience (2-5 years)
- Level 2-3 IRATA/SPRAT is required
- All Applicable OSHA certificates including, Working at Heights, WHMIS, Workers Awareness, Supervisor’s Awareness
- Has Canadian residency with a Social Insurance Number OR a current, valid working permit
- Valid Ontario Driver's License with personal vehicle
- Additional occupational or technical teaching experience / capabilities / certification for future course development (**see Additional Desirable Qualifications below**)

**Work Conditions And Physical Capabilities**
- Training Center: _ Office Environment, Co-working space within a team office including; kitchenette, staff bathroom and Training Facility, training office and gear store.
- Optional Field / Construction: _ Be capable of functioning in climatic extremes, work under pressure, handling heavy loads, physically demanding, attention to detail, good hand-eye coordination, combination of sitting, standing, walking, bending, crouching and, kneeling.

**Additional Desirable Qualifications**
- Confined Space Rescue Instructor Certifications
- Tower Rescue Instructor Certifications
- GWO (Global Wind Organization) Instructor
- PPE Inspection courses
- Hoisting and Rigging Instructor Certifications
- Working at Height Instructor Certifications.
- Other occupational health and safety certifications / instructional experience (JHSC, Supervisory training, fit testing, LOTO, OHSA)
