**Position Details**:
**What You Will Do**:

- Telephone contact to obtain details of claim and injuries
- Ongoing processing and assessing new claims, detailed and thorough investigation, needs analysis, entitlement to benefits, facilitation of coverage and delivery of superior customer service
- Establish priority of Insurers/Loss Transfer/WSIB
- Effectively guide and assist the insured through the claim process, in order to achieve service excellence and successful file resolution
- Ensure immediate and effective responses are provided through written/telephone communication to the following; (lawyers, clients, doctors, rehabilitation facilities and service providers)
- Responsible for benefit payments (as per legislation)
- Obtain approval from Manager on claims above authority

**Who You Are**:

- Post-secondary education or equivalent experience
- CIP or working towards designation
- Minimum of 2 years experience handling casualty claims required
- Strong organizational; decision making and problem solving skillset
- Ability to understand insurance contracts in various jurisdictions
- Knowledge of principles and practices of claims settlement, policy wording, fraud investigations and coverage issues
- Ability to cross-reference information with attention to detail
- Strong general computer knowledge required
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
