Kitchen Helper/cook

**Job Summary**
**Duties**
- Assist cooks and chefs in food preparation tasks, including chopping, slicing, and measuring ingredients.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen by washing dishes, utensils, and cooking equipment.
- Ensure compliance with food safety and sanitation standards throughout all food handling processes.
- Help with meal preparation by assembling ingredients and preparing simple dishes as directed by the kitchen staff.
- Stock supplies and ingredients as needed, ensuring that the kitchen is well-equipped for daily operations.
- Assist in maintaining inventory levels of food items and kitchen supplies.
- Support the culinary team during peak service times to ensure timely meal delivery to customers.
**Qualifications**
- Previous experience in a restaurant or food service environment is preferred but not required.
- Basic knowledge of food handling and safety practices is a plus.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced kitchen setting while maintaining attention to detail.
- Strong teamwork skills with a willingness to help others in the kitchen.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends as needed.
- A passion for cooking and the food industry is highly desirable.
