**Group Benefits Analyst**

This position is for a Group Benefits Client Manager/Analyst who will provide outstanding customer service to clients of a well-established and growing consulting firm, specializing in Employee Benefits and Wellness Consulting.

**Required Experience or Training**

Comprehensive knowledge of group benefits including plan designs, eligibility rules, claims administration and the coordination of plan implementation and plan changes.

Understanding and interpretation of group contracts and provisions.

Thorough understanding of financial underwriting including risk, pricing, renewals and various funding methods, including ASO.

An awareness of insurance market trends, their contributing factors and various cost containment measures.

An ability to prepare, interpret and analyze financial reports including renewal, funding, and claims experience reports, and negotiate pricing with insurance carriers.

Knowledge and experience to consistently recognize problems and potential risks as they arise with the ability to formulate and implement solutions in a timely manner.

Experienced in providing daily technical customer support; fulfilling customer needs and expectations.

Ability to create presentations for meetings with plan administrators and individuals in HR or Finance roles.

**Qualifications**

A minimum of 5 years related working experience for an insurance company, brokerage or consulting firm

CEBS or GBA designation would be a definite asset

College diploma or University Degree

Proficient in Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint and CRM

Strong mathematical and analytical aptitude

Meticulous attention to detail and accuracy

Capable of prioritizing and meeting tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment

Superior communication skills both written and oral

Outstanding interpersonal and customer service skills

Ability to work independently as an individual contributor or in a team environment.
