**What does your day at GIP Interpaving look like?**
- Trenching. Sub-grade excavating. Stripping. Sloping and banking. Material handling. Land clearing. Haul road maintenance.
- Excavation. Backfilling. Slope grooming. Stock piling. Maintain operation and job logs.
- Conduct pre-operation checks and documentation as required.
- Operate a two-way radio where and when necessary.
- Refuel, clean, and lubricate equipment as prescribed.
- Secure special attachments to equipment.
- Able to work independently and follow instructions on requirements of the job.
- Follow all health and safety instructions and standards as communicated. Use and maintain all safety equipment as prescribed.

**Enough about us, let’s talk about you.**
- Valid Ontario Drivers License is an asset.
- Minimum 1-year Heavy Equipment Operator experience is considered an asset.
- Able to work outdoors.
- Able to conduct daily routine equipment checks etc.
- Outcome-focused, critical thinker with the ability to analyze and visualize to ensure continuous improvement across our business.
- Ability to connect and interact with people to seek different perspectives.
- Superb communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong ability to effectively prioritize and manage multiple competing priorities.

- Monday to Friday

**Experience**:

- heavy equipment operator: 3 years (preferred)
