We are seeking an experienced and driven professional to join our team as an **Associate Manager** **Corporate Accounting** at our Oakville office. It is anticipated that this position will be hybrid, with a mix of in-person office and remote days each week. There will also be in-person training opportunities at our office in Downtown Oakville, ON.

**WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING**
- Managing a sizable client portfolio
- Performing full cycle accounting with assistance from junior staff members in a timely manner
- Preparing and administering payroll using Wagepoint, ADP TeamPay, and Ceridian
- Reviewing and/or preparing period end financial statements and management reporting and distributing accounting tasks amongst team
- Frequently communicating with clients, responding to questions, concerns, and requests
- Reviewing and/or preparing government remittances such as payroll deductions, EHT, and WSIB
- Training, coaching and development of junior bookkeepers/accountants
- On-boarding of new clients, setting up new QuickBooks Online files and/or taking over of previous books
- Reviewing year-end request packages to be sent to staff accountants
- Working hours as required during peak business volume periods, such as period-end and year-end

**WHAT YOU BRING**
- Minimum of 4 years of previous experience in a similar accounting-related role (i.e., producing financial statements)
- Previous experience at a public accounting firm
- High level of proficiency using QuickBooks Online, Hubdoc, Plooto and payroll systems such as Wagepoint, ADP TeamPay, and Ceridian PowerPay
- Previous experience administering payroll and filing of government remittances
- High level of proficiency using Microsoft Excel and Word
- Detail and deadline oriented
- A passion for mentorship and team development.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a solutions-oriented mindset.
- Effective communicator - polite, respectful, empathetic and honest
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize competing deadlines

**Education**
- Post-secondary degree/diploma in accounting or related field
- CPA designation is an asset
