**Key Responsibilities**:
**Crane Maintenance and Repair**:

- Perform routine maintenance, inspections, and repairs on POTAIN tower cranes to ensure optimal performance.
- Rectify electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic systems to diagnose and resolve issues.
- Conduct preventive maintenance to minimize downtime and enhance equipment reliability.

**Installation and Dismantling**:

- Assist with the installation, erection, and dismantling of tower cranes at job sites.
- Ensure all processes comply with manufacturer specifications and safety standards.

**Safety and Compliance**:

- Adhere to WorkSafeBC and other provincial regulations regarding crane safety and operation.
- Perform safety checks and maintain accurate inspection logs and documentation.
- Ensure all crane components meet regulatory and company standards.

**Diagnostics**:

- Diagnose the equipment to identify and fix electrical, mechanical, and structural issues.
- Respond promptly to emergency breakdowns and provide effective solutions.

**Training and Collaboration**:

- Orientate operators and site personnel on basic crane operation and maintenance practices.
- Work closely with site managers, operators, and other technicians to ensure seamless project operations.

**Parts Management and Reporting**:

- Order and replace defective or worn-out parts as necessary.
- Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, repairs, and inspections.

**Qualifications and Skills**:
**Education and Certification**:

- Certification as a Millwright or equivalent certification.
- Valid BC driver's license and ability to travel to various job sites.

**Experience**:

- 5 years of experience as a Millwright, specializing in tower crane maintenance and repair, preferably POTAIN models.
- Proven track record of troubleshooting and repairing electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic systems.

**Technical Skills**:

- Strong knowledge of POTAIN crane systems and their components.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics.

**Soft Skills**:

- Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
- Attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
- Commitment to safety and adherence to industry best practices.

**Working Conditions**:

- Work is primarily conducted on construction sites, with exposure to outdoor weather conditions.
- Requires physical fitness and the ability to work at heights.
- May involve travel to various locations across BC and occasional on-call hours for emergency repairs.

**Compensation and Benefits**:

- Salary
- $90,000 to $115,000.
- Salary will be commensurate with education and experience.
