We aim to deepen students' understanding of key ideas and values such as democracy, freedom, justice, and equality; and central institutions and practices like the state, law, constitutions, elections, leadership, interest groups, public opinion, political conflict, war, and peace. We enable students to focus on some of the most crucial issues facing modern societies from the threats of climate change and nuclear war to the promise of global justice, human rights, and the welfare state.
Our aim is to be a world-wide centre of excellence in scholarship on in Political Science through collaborative, interdisciplinary and international research amongst faculty, undergraduate, graduate, and professional students and postdoctoral fellows
**Course Information**:
This course is scheduled for Wednesdays 12:30-2:30pm September-December.
**Responsibilities**:
You will be responsible for all activities associated with the successful delivery of the course, including but not limited to: developing, preparing, and delivering the course; setting and marking examinations, assessing the academic work of students, and reporting grades.
**Qualifications**:
In accordance with the Faculty Collective Agreement, consideration of applicants will include an assessment of previous performance, experience, and qualifications, including qualifications which go beyond the requirements for the position. Applicants should have fluent written and oral communication skills in English.
