**Position Overview**
The **HR Manager** at Wellwise is a strategic leader responsible for driving the company’s people strategy, leading the transformation of the HR function, and ensuring the effective management of the entire employee lifecycle. This role will oversee the implementation and optimization of the **Dayforce Human Capital Management (HCM) platform**, modernizing HR processes across payroll, benefits, time and attendance, performance, and learning.
**Key Responsibilities1. HR Leadership & Strategy**
- Lead the HR department and develop strategic plans that align with Wellwise’s business goals and long-term growth.
- Partner with senior leadership on workforce planning, organizational design, and change management initiatives.
- Design, implement, and continuously improve HR policies, procedures, and best practices.
- Build and manage HR budgets, ensuring efficient allocation of resources.
**2. Dayforce HCM Implementation & Optimization**
- Serve as the project lead for the implementation and ongoing management of **Dayforce HCM**, including but not limited to:
- Dayforce Platform & Human Resources
- Payroll, Benefits, Time & Attendance, Wallet
- Co-Pilot, Advanced Experience Hub, Vacation Bidding
- Reporting & Analytics, People Analytics
- Document & Compensation Management
- Learning, Performance Management, Recruiting & Onboarding
- Succession Planning, Engagement, Identity Integration
- Career Explorer, Integration Studio, Learning Content
- Collaborate with IT, payroll, and operations teams to ensure seamless integration with other business systems.
- Provide training and support to leaders and employees to ensure platform adoption and utilization.
**3. Talent Lifecycle Management**
- Oversee full-cycle recruitment, onboarding, and offboarding processes, ensuring a seamless employee experience.
- Lead career development, succession planning, and performance review processes to build internal capabilities and retain top talent.
- Drive diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging initiatives across all levels of the organization.
**4. Employee Engagement, Culture & Internal Communications**
- Foster a positive and inclusive workplace culture that supports employee engagement and organizational success.
- Act as a trusted advisor and mediator in workplace issues, ensuring fair and timely resolution.
- Lead internal communication initiatives, utilizing tools such as **Microsoft Teams, SharePoint, Adobe Sign, and TalentLMS** to keep employees informed and engaged.
**5. Compliance, Compensation & Benefits**
- Ensure compliance with all federal, provincial, and local employment laws and regulations.
- Oversee payroll, benefits, RRSP programs, and total rewards strategies.
- Manage HR-related contracts, documentation, and litigation matters in coordination with legal counsel.
- Implement tools for clock-in/clock-out tracking and time management for both retail and corporate teams.
**6. Learning, Performance & Analytics**
- Develop and deliver e-learning and training programs to support leadership development, compliance training, and employee upskilling.
- Lead the annual performance review cycle and coach managers on providing effective feedback and career development conversations.
- Use HR analytics and reporting tools to generate insights that inform strategic decisions and improve workforce planning.
**Qualifications**
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
- **Certified Human Resources Professional (CHRP), Certified Human Resources Leader (CHRL), or equivalent HR designation is required.**:
- Minimum **5+ years of progressive HR leadership experience**, including experience in **both corporate and retail environments**.
- Proven track record in **implementing and managing Dayforce HCM** across multiple modules (HR, Payroll, Benefits, Time & Attendance, Analytics, Learning, Recruiting, etc.).
- Strong knowledge of employment law, HR policies, compensation structures, and compliance requirements in Canada.
- Demonstrated experience with **onboarding/offboarding, internal communications, performance management, and culture initiatives**.
- Proficiency in digital tools including **Adobe Sign, SharePoint, Microsoft Teams, TalentLMS, and HRIS platforms**.
- Experience managing **HR budgets, RRSP programs, benefits, and workforce analytics**.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to use data to guide strategic decisions.
- Exceptional interpersonal, communication, and conflict resolution skills.
- Ability to thrive in a dynamic, multi-site environment with strong project management capabilities.
