That’s why we need your expertise and passion to complete our team The Flight Performance team is part of the Civil Aftermarket group, and we aim to keep flight simulators up to date so our customers can use cutting edge technologies for training and making the sky a safer place. Our employees design innovative solutions to address technological challenges on a daily basis. **The role we are offering you**: - Update complex performance systems such as aerodynamics and flight controls. - Analyze the projects requirements and prepare the simulator configuration. - Integrate, test and validate real time flight simulation model in laboratory environment as well as on flight simulators for various aircraft types, either remotely or on site. - Train and mentor co-workers on performance systems and develop oneself as a simulator system generalist. - Identify and fix software and hardware problems interacting with appropriate engineers/technicians. - Act as a first line of support during acceptance and qualification on updates projects. - Interact with customers, other engineers and air crews, both at our factory and customer site. - Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical or Aeronautical engineering. - Ability to program in C, C++ or Fortran in Unix/ Linux/Windows environment. - Knowledge of aerodynamics, flight dynamics and control theory - Knowledge of CAE's simulation technologies an asset. - Ability to troubleshoot and debug integrated systems. - Experience on various simulator performance systems (Flight, Flight Control, Motion, Sound, Engines) is an asset. - Experience in supporting customer acceptances, field installations and simulators qualification. - Ability to demonstrate strong project ownership, and ability to work and make decisions unsupervised. - Good communication skills. - Pro-active, flexible, team player. - Availability to travel to customer sites - Bilingualism (French and English) is required. - In accordance with CAE’s Epidemic/Pandemic vaccination policy, as the work to be performed occurs on a customer site where vaccination is required by the Government of Canada, there is a condition of employment to be fully vaccinated. **CAE offers**: - Benefits: fully flexible for you to choose what is important - Retirement: Defined Benefits Retirement Plan & Group Registered Retirement Savings Plan (RRSP) - Financial Perks: Employee Stock Purchase Plan & numerous corporate discounts - Personal and Family Programs: Physical Wellness Plan & Supplementary Maternity Plan - Work-Life Balance: Flex-time, California Fridays all year and Unlimited Paid Time-Off - Fun at work: social and community events all-year round LI-CG1 **Position Type** Regular CAE thanks all applicants for their interest.
