There are many opportunities and challenges in this field, ranging from architecture to design, development, testing, integration, resolution of non-compliance and documentation of simulated systems, or actual systems used in aircraft and helicopters. The team of the large family of aircraft systems focuses primarily on the following areas: - Hydraulic generating systems - Electrical generating systems - Fuel management systems - Fire detection and protection systems: - Landing gear systems - Aircraft cabin lighting and exterior aircraft lighting systems - Oxygen systems - Pneumatic generating systems - Cabin environmental management systems (pressurization, temperature, and ventilation) - Ice protection and prevention systems - Loading hook systems, winch, and emergency helicopter floats For all these areas of the aircraft systems family, the modelling of pressures, temperatures, fluid flow, logical state, and the control laws of the various components are all based on the development of simulation models supported by the principles of physics and real-time mathematics. The modelling of the characteristics of the various components in each area, such as pumps, generators, cylinders, valves, controllers, etc., is developed from technical data provided by the aircraft manufacturer. For all these areas, the development team is responsible for managing the sound interface or the specific systems with the cockpit (control panels, displays, gauges, other systems, etc.), the virtual environment, and in the case of simulated systems, the modelling of the system including the powering-up logic, continuous diagnostic systems, predefined failures, electrical connections, operational modes, etc. Main Responsibilities - Participate in the design of software solutions that faithfully reproduces the behaviour of the aircraft considering the customer’s requirements - Develop software solutions in C++ or C language for the simulation of various simulated systems, or the hardware system interfaces - Participate in code peer reviews - Develop system tests and unit tests for automatic validation of the modelling - Integrate the team’s software components with other components required to build a complete simulator **Requirements**: - Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, electrical or physics engineering - Dynamism, team spirit, and initiative - Organizational and planning skills - Ability to analyze, adapt and solve problems - Communication skills (oral and written) - Knowledge of C++ required - Knowledge of C# or C, an asset - Knowledge of avionics systems including their communication protocols (ARINC 429, AFDX, and others), an asset - Knowledge of real-time programming, an asset - Knowledge of unit testing and automated system testing, an asset - Bilingualism (French and English), an asset - Possible occasional business travel LI-CL1 LI-hybrid Position Type Regular CAE thanks all applicants for their interest.
