**Overview**

**Duties**
- Operate forklifts to move lumber and trusses within the yard.
- Load and unload materials from trucks ensuring proper handling techniques to prevent damage.
- Perform heavy lifting tasks as required, adhering to safety protocols at all times.
- Maintain accurate records for management system to track material movement.
- Assist in organizing and cleaning the yard layout for optimal efficiency and accessibility.
- Conduct regular inspections of equipment to ensure safe operation and report any mechanical issues.
- Collaborate with team members to meet production goals and deadlines.

**Qualifications**
- Previous experience as a Material Handler or in a similar role within a lumber yard environment is preferred.
- Proficient in operating forklifts. FORKLIFT CERTIFICATE REQUIRED
- Is expected to handle cutting saws if required. Experience is a strong asset.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot equipment issues.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting tasks (up to 50 pounds) consistently throughout the shift.
- Able to correctly assemble pick lists for delivery.
- Familiarity with shipping and receiving management systems is a plus.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
- You will report to the Shipping Manager.
- Ukrainian language is an asset.
- Wage based on experience.
