Developmental Support Worker

Title: DSW
Agile Healthcare seeks several Developmental Support Workers for a home care client. As an DSW, you will aid the client with various types of assistance and care duties.
**Responsibilities**:
- Assisting the child in learning how to manage their feelings, talk with others, and solve problems.
- Building a nice relationship with the child, their family, and the care team.
- Being prepared to handle tough situations and helping the child calm down when needed (crisis intervention).
- Taking steps to prevent tough situations from happening (crisis prevention).
- Taking part in meetings, training, and things that are important for the child's care.
- Writing down how the child is doing, what they're doing, and anything important to remember.
**Requirements**:
- Valid Developmental Support Worker certificate from a recognized institution.
- Fluency or knowledge of Tagalog is a plus.
- Valid Vulnerable Sector Check.
- Safe Management or CPI is a must
- UMAB
- Immunization Records.
- Covid vaccination.
- 1 year of experience as a DSW
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
- Flexible availability.
**Job Type**: Casual
Pay: $23.00-$25.00 per hour
Schedule:
- 4 hour shift
- 8 hour shift
- Day shift
- Every Weekend
- Monday to Friday
- Weekends as needed
Ability to commute/relocate:
- Greater Toronto Area, ON: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (preferred)
