**Field Operations and Safety Supervisor**

Diversified Transportation is currently seeking an experienced Operations professional to join our growing team in the District of Kitimat-Stikine in northern BC. This role will deliver critical support to our on-site team, who will be providing employee transportation services on a major construction project.

**This is a camp position with fly-in/fly-out options from Calgary, Edmonton, Kelowna and Vancouver. The rotation for this position is 14 and 7.**

**Desired Qualifications, Skills and Experience**:

- High School Diploma required; Post-Secondary education or designations in management, transportation, logistics or HSE considered an asset
- Experience with people transportation and/or managing teams
- Demonstrated leadership ability
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Intermediate or higher skill level in MS Office

**Responsibilities**:

- Monitor service levels to ensure that performance statistics meet our customer’s operational requirements, developing contingency plans to accommodate their needs while remaining within the budgeted workload
- Lead organizational efforts to optimize the efficiency of the operation, including opportunities for process optimization, selecting/developing required additions
- Support the attraction and retention of qualified drivers
- Perform various analyses of the division’s activities to ensure it meets its financial and operational objectives, including KPI trends and root causes
- Supervision of the day-to-day activities of 30+ drivers to ensure they meet both DTL’s standards as well as customer requirements
- Act as a resource on operational or HSE matters, conduct risk assessments, conduct thorough incident investigations, recommend corrective actions, manage performance/discipline, maintain all necessary documentation
- Participate in the reporting structure of the client on site, provide management with on-time labour reports, staff lodging forecast along with transportation requests
- Ensure proper equipment utilization and that units are available for scheduled maintenance
- Implement operational and health and safety initiatives

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent
