**Public Relation Local Area Coordinator**

**Neighbourhood Welcome Program - Duncan, BC**

**The Duncan Neighbourhood Welcome Program is a new program in this area. We are looking for someone who has a passion to connect with local businesses to grow and create partnerships in the community, to provide a full welcome package to the new residents.**

**About the Company**

Our mission at the Neighbourhood Welcome PR Corporation is to become the bridge between new residents and the community. We aim to greet new residents by providing them with a welcome package of community information and local businesses who are partners with the program.

**About the Job**

The area coordinators provide new residents with a welcome package in person on a monthly basis. These packages contain information and (whenever possible) a sample and/or gift certificate from our local business partners who pay to be a member of our welcome program. Each area coordinator is responsible for reaching out to local businesses and organizations to increase partnerships with the program thus increasing the value of each package. We then work together with the businesses to promote them through marketing to their target market; the new consumer.

**Area coordinators are responsible for**:

- Gathering and keeping track of inventory from our partners
- Building and maintaining healthy relationship with our business partners
- Putting together the welcome packages
- Delivering the packages to new residents
- Seeking out new residents in our community to deliver packages to (by word of mouth, social media, connecting with realtors etc).
- Attending a 30 minute zoom meeting once a week to goal set, ask questions, share successes and stay connected.
- Completing an end of month report sheet and resident contact form to send to head office for invoicing.
- Promoting our partners via social media.

**About You**
- Friendly, polite, well-spoken, and presentable
- Organized with your time and work
- Be competent in using Google apps such as Drive, Sheets, Docs, Gmail etc. (training provided)
- Engaging and excited about welcoming new community members to your area
- But most importantly you have fun and love what you do

**Salary**

Our partners pay an amount per package (based on their type of business) to be represented in the welcome program. Area coordinators receive a commission from their gross volume each month.
