Ottawa, Canada Common Ground Biochar Full time

We make soli blends that:

- Help remove carbon dioxide from the atmosphere (via biochar)
- Reduce nutrient leaching and help conserve water.
- Never use synthetic chemicals or high environmental footprint ingredients like peat moss, perlite and vermiculite.
- Are 100% organic
- Have experience, or a strong interest in, growing vegetables, fruit, flowering plants and/or any gardening.
- Have experience, or a strong interest in, making YouTube and/or TikTok videos
- Have access to an a garden or area where you can test our products, run experiments, and make videos.
- Have all the other great qualities needed to be a great team member.

The payment for this role can be cash or equity (company ownership), or a mix of both. The cash component will likely be task based and the hours will be totally flexible. Just the end result will matter. Ex. You will receive $X to make a good YouTube video about Y. There will also be parts of the job that might be hourly based. We will figure out all the details together based on what works best for you.

Note that we are a very small startup (3 people) and looking to grow our company quickly. So if you are looking for a lot of guidance and predictability in a role then this likely not for you. If you are okay with mínimal guidance, and filling in the blanks, then this could be a good fit. For example your jobs will likely look something like 1) Make a Youtube video about how to grow tomato seedling using biochar or 2) Test out a number of potting mixes and let us know which one works best or 3) Test our product vs. competitors and make videos about it.
