**The position**:
We are actively seeking a Structural E.I.T. at our growing location in Ottawa, ON.

**What will you be doing?**
- Collect client and project information and prepare structural designs/drawings in accordance with best practice design and relevant codes and
- Working with project engineers to assist in coordination of drawings sets with client expectations including architectural coordination, value engineering and industry standard practices
- Use AutoCAD to prepare 2D drawing sets for construction level documents in various materials (wood, steel, concrete, precast products, etc.).
- Use Revit to prepare 3D Building Information (BIM) models and export to 2D drawing
- Coordinate structural design with Architecture, Electrical, Mechanical, Civil, and other project consultants under the direction of the project
- Visit project site to collect required
- Visit Construction site to complete construction
- Performs other duties as assigned by project

**What you bring?**
- A diploma in structural design with a minimum of 5-10 years experience
- Experience designing multi-family residential buildings
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, AutoCAD, and Revit
- Basic design experience in wood, steel and/or concrete would be an asset
- Fluent in English
- Comfortable multi-tasking and prioritizing tasks without guidance
- Being a natural self-starter with the ability to prioritize, self-schedule, meet tight deadlines, and work with colleagues from various departments, market sectors, and locations
