We’re on the lookout for an **M&A Associate** who’s excited to help us find great companies, build relationships, and help guide transactions from “hello” to “handover.” If you enjoy building financial models almost as much as building rapport with founders, crafting a solid investment story, and being part of a collaborative executive team — we’d love to talk. Anticipated working hours are M-F; 8.30 am - 5.00 pm local time. Salary and bonus plan are dependent on experience and geography.

**KEY RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Identify and assess potential targets and opportunities that align with Univerus' strategic objectives
- Conduct in-depth financial analysis, due diligence, and valuation assessments for potential acquisitions
- Prepare comprehensive financial models, presentations, and reports to support decision-making processes, including business plans and investment memos
- Works with the Univerus Executive Team to establish clear and concise strategies and process for M&A

**REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES**:

- Financial modelling
- Presentation skills
- Business Development and Acquisition Sourcing
- Software business operations
- Profit and Loss, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow statements
- Contract Law familiarity
- Standard Operating Metrics for software companies

**EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE**:

- University Degree in Commerce, Finance, Accounting or equivalent
- A minimum of 3 years’ experience in an M&A Associate role
- Experience in due diligence and integration of acquisitions.
- Experience preparing and presenting investment memos and investor presentations.
- Experience with M&A in a software vertical is an asset
