Global Accounting Manager

As the Global Accounting Manager, you work with the Chief Accounting Officer to develop/improve/monitor general accounting practices to ensure compliance with US GAAP, complete monthly consolidation, coordinate completion of the annual audit and taxes, and work with the various business units to improve accounting processes and controls.

**What would a typical day look like?**
- Build and maintain partnership with Convergix Business Units accounting leaders - become their trusted advisor to help manage complex accounting issues and help maintain efficient processes and controls. Work with the accounting leaders to establish the following:

- Appropriate internal controls framework
- Efficient repeatable month-end process
- Proper variance analysis and explanations
- Creation of a 13-week cash flow forecast on a regular cadence
- In partnership with the Chief Accounting Officer
- Manage accounting for Convergix parent companies.
- Prepare the consolidation for all Convergix Automation companies
- Prepare financial statements for the Board of Directors
- Establish the appropriate allocation methodology for shared services
- Work with Convergix Business Units to manage enterprise cash flow
- Manage FX risk on an ongoing basis
- Assist with integration of acquired companies
- Oversee daily cash management to ensure accurate reporting and analysis in conjunction with weekly/monthly cash forecast.
- Researching accounting issues for compliance with GAAP
- Establish consistent accounting policies across Convergix companies
- Complete financial statements and balance sheet review to assist with compliance of proper accounting policies
- Coordinate the annual budget/periodic forecasting process
- Deploy and maintain appropriate transfer pricing policies
- Manage credit agreement to ensure proper submission of loan and continuation notices and ensure timely principal and interest payments
- Plan and coordinate consolidation of specific accounting functions into a shared services model
- Manage CPM and FAS software[KB1][PG2]
- In partnership with the external partners and accounting leaders to facilitate and coordinate preparation of the following:

- Completion of annual audit
- Completion and filing of all appropriate tax returns
- Completion of valuation of acquired companies
- Completion of purchase accounting of acquired companies
- Completion of transfer pricing policies

**What qualifies you for this opportunity?**
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance required (CPA preferred)
- 5+ years’ experience as an accountant
- Excellent computer skills; advanced experience with Excel required
- Proficiency with accounting software.
