Machine Control Technician

The Municipal Group of Companies, based in Bedford Nova Scotia, is a large, diversified organization engaged in all major aspects of the heavy civil construction, mining and environmental services within the Atlantic Provinces. We are currently seeking the expertise of a Machine Control Technician to join our team.
**Job Summary**:
**Primary Duties and Responsibilities**:
Assist with the installations and removal of Machine Control on various types of equipment as required throughout Eastern Canada.
Perform maintenance and repairs to inventory and installed Machine Control systems.
Assist with Machine Control inventory management.
Assist with Machine Control training and technical support requirements.
Travel may be required 50% of the time.
Any other duties as required.
Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, Education, and Experience:
Experience working around heavy equipment
Experience with Machine Control Systems considered an asset
Familiar with system maintenance and associated preventive measures considered an asset
Construction Survey understanding considered an asset
Strong understanding of Excel Spreadsheets.
Experience with 3D design files. Working knowledge of design software and data set creation is an asset.
Must be open to travel throughout Eastern Canada.
Valid Class 5 driver’s license
Has a proven work ethic and positive attitude.
Must be able to work independently and in a team environment.
Fluency in both French and English is considered an asset.
