As Business Technology Coordinator, you will be responsible for leading, coordinating and delivering Waste and Recycling Services (WRS) technology initiatives and programs. You will find technology solutions to WRS' customer, operational and data management challenges and identify best practices and emerging technologies to improve the delivery of WRS' frontline services and reporting requirements. Primary duties include:

- Lead technology projects, including business case development, project planning and monitoring, system evaluations, and conducting research into new technologies.
- Lead cross functional teams to deliver technology projects, documenting business needs and translating them into functional and technical requirements for use in process design, software development and vendor contracts.
- Perform project management functions on larger technology projects in coordination with the Information Technology (IT) project manager, focusing on the WRS business processes, responsibilities, and deliverables.
- Participate in procurement processes, evaluation, and contract negotiation.
- Review project support documents to verify accuracy and alignment with WRS' strategic objectives.
- Assess WRS data capture, data management systems and processes, investigating and maintaining data accuracy and reliability.
- Identify and recommend improvements to current systems and data repositories.
- Roadmap both software and hardware technology solutions to identify and evaluate lifecycle status and condition, proactively planning for upgrades and/or replacements.

**Qualifications**
- A completed 2-year diploma in Information Technology, Computer Science, Applied Sciences, Engineering, or a related field combined with at least 5 years of experience in business analysis, process design and improvement, and business technology solutions; OR
- A degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Applied Sciences, Engineering, or a related field combined with at least 3 years of experience in business analysis, process design and improvement, and business technology solutions.
- Experience working with Oracle and SQL databases and queries will be considered an asset.
- Previous experience managing complex projects, along with business process and analysis, will be considered an asset.

5 day work week, with 1 day off in each 3 week cycle.

Hours of work: Standard 35 hour work week
