**Nature of the work**:

- Participate in the development and execution of Board-level policies and objectives, both pedagogical and administrative.
- Assume leadership responsibility for specific dossiers assigned by the Director of Student Services.
- Liaise with MEES, MSSS and other educational partners or organizations to ensure successful and effective delivery of services to students.
- Work cooperatively with the members of the Student Services and Educational Services leadership teams, and the rest of the senior administration team, to ensure the effective delivery of services aimed at meeting the needs of all learners.

**Primary responsibilities**:

- Coordinate the delivery of complementary educational services in conjunction with other services departments.
- Coordinate projects wand initiatives funded by special grants and ministerial measures and effectively manage the budgets.
- Manage and coordinate specific dossiers such as: Educational Placement and Consultative Committee (EPCC), monitoring of MEES/MSSS agreements and services in schools, Homebound Services (Cours à domicile), Transportation for students with special needs. OT Liaison (meetings and complex cases), WOTP (Work-Oriented Training Pathways) program confirmation and referrals, etc.
- Coordinate health and social services-related initiatives within the board and collaborate with various public health and social services organizations on such dossiers (e.g. CIUSSS, CROM, CISSSMo, Santé Publique, Batshaw, DPJ, etc.).
- Assist with the request and reporting processes for MEES Mesures and grants of funds from various organizations, which are submitted through _Collect-Info_ or other similar portals.
- Assist with the supervision of Student Services' personnel and the management of departmental operations, where appropriate.
- Collaborate with other Departments of the school board regarding the provision of services to students (curriculum implementation, Professional Development initiatives, Mesures, MEES, technology, etc.).
- Represent the Student Services Department on Board level committees.
- Represent the School Board in its relations with the MEES, other government agencies and community organizations involved in the delivery of services for youth and families.
- Other duties, as delegated by the Director of Student Services.

**Qualifications**:

- Hold an undergraduate degree in an appropriate discipline
- Have at least five (5) years of successful experience in education
- Demonstrate a capacity for, or experience in, educational leadership

**Required competencies**:

- Have demonstrated strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively in a collaborative and consultative team environment
- Have a broad understanding of the LBPSB and the role the Student Services Department has in the effective delivery of services to students.
- Be bilingual and have the ability to communicate clearly and effectively in English and in French. Experience in writing and submitting proposals in French is an asset.
- Be aware of the structures, cultures, and pedagogical directions operating within the Lester. B. Pearson School Board.
- Have an understanding of students with special needs as well as best practices in delivery of complementary and professional services to students; experience working with the _EHDAA_ clientele is an asset.
- Effective time management skills with the ability to separate and identify priorities.
- Have strong organizational skills and an ability to work autonomously and effectively under pressure.
- Be computer literate and encourage use of new technologies for students and professionals.

**Salary range and working conditions**:
This position is classified as level 7 with remuneration and working conditions as per the **Regulation Respecting the Conditions of Employment of Management Staff of School Boards.
