**ACCOUNTABILITIES (Major Responsibilities of the Position)**
- Ensures quality patient care throughout day to day planning and coordination of human and

material resources for the Women & Children's unit.
- Facilitates day to day coordination of patient /family needs with appropriate care team provider.
- Oversees patient/family and staff safety.
- Education, orientation and staff development.
- Labor relations. Working knowledge of relevant collective agreements (i.e., ONA, Unifor, OPSEU).
- Human and financial resource management.
- Performance management and Performance reviews
- Quality improvement utilizing Lean 6/Sigma methodology.
- Participates in LHIN & MOHLTC projects as required.
- Administrative on-call
- Ensures accurate and timely implementation of change initiatives
- Identifies gaps in:

- Quality of care
- Quality of performance-knowledge, skill and judgement, and interprofessional relationships
- Resource utilization-fiscal responsibility
- Ethical decision making
- Seen as role model in critical thinking, practice, professionalism, communication, and relationships

- knowledge of potential risk factors that trigger appropriate escalation of patient/family/staff/concerns/risks
