What You Will Get To Do Reporting to the Supervisor of Operations (Roads), and under the direction of the Working Foreman (Traffic/Roads), the Labourer (Traffic) is responsible for:- installing and maintaining street signs;- operating sidewalk snow clearing machines;- operating trucks over 11,000 kg., G.V.W., including tandem axle trucks to assist in snow clearing operations as required;- assisting with general labour duties; and,- other duties as may be assigned. You are knowledgeable about and work in compliance with all workplace safety regulations, standards, and practices. You perform work in a safe manner and encourage and support others to do the same. What You Bring To Our Team As the successful applicant, you will possess: - a secondary school graduation diploma;- a current certification in Emergency First Aid and C.P.R.;- a valid Class "DZ" Driver's Licence, maintained in good standing;- - a minimum of one (1) year experience operating vehicles over 11,000 kg., G.V.W., including tandem axle trucks;- the ability to operate a sidewalk snow clearing machines;- a familiarity with safety and traffic requirements in a municipal setting as they pertain to the Ontario Traffic Manual, Book 7;- Working at Heights certification;- Transportation of Dangerous Goods certification;- 0-8 ton crane certification;- the ability to perform heavy physical labour in varying weather conditions. What We Offer You- comprehensive benefits and pension program to ensure that your total compensation package addresses both your work and life needs. Salary Range/Hourly rate: $30.26 - $37.84 Hybrid information: Frontline Hours: Flex hours, including days, afternoons and nights. Forty (40) hours per week. Shifts may be scheduled between the hours of 12:00 a.m. and 11:59 p.m., Sunday to Saturday. Flexible hours maybe required during winter control and/or emergency situations.
