Warehouse Technician

Currently we have an opening for a Warehouse Technician. The Warehouse Technician is responsible for the shipment, receipt, and the distribution of materials in a timely manner.

What you will be doing- Account for all materials and supplies in the facilities; audit goods received into warehouse.- Oversee receipt, storage and shipment of materials, and related reporting in accordance with established procedures.- Prepare and coordinate schedules for shipping and receiving materials to control the flow of goods and regulate warehouse space.- Ensure the effectiveness of operating procedures, space utilization, and maintenance and protection of facilities and equipment.- Process sales orders and invoices.- Update and maintain the warehouse location system.- Participate in customer on-call services as required.- Perform other duties as assigned.
Environmental Health and Safety- Comply with safety policies and applicable government, customer or industry regulations or requirements.- Responsible for identifying and reporting any unsafe work habits, workplace incidents and / or near misses. Perform risk assessments (“Take Five”) prior to each task.- Maintain orderly work area and ensure housekeeping requirements are met.- Attend Environmental, Health and Safety related trainings.- Wear the required personal protective equipment (PPE) assigned for each task.
What you will bring along- High school diploma or equivalency.- Minimum of one (1) year of warehouse or inventory experience.- Experience in mining operations is considered an asset.- Experience operating a forklift is required.- Experience using computerized inventory management systems.- Ability to work independently and as part of an integrated team.- Detail-oriented with good time management and organizational skills.- Computer literacy (MS Office).- Strong written and oral communication skills.- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.- Ability to move up to 50 pounds.- Valid driver’s license in good standing.- Willingness to travel for a week at a time
