**WHAT YOU’LL DO**:
**Reporting to the Director of Emergency, the Manager is responsible for planning, coordinating, and monitoring the smooth operations of the Emergency Department and GEM. She/he will facilitate best practices with respect to patient-focused care within PRHC. The primary role of the Manager will be to lead and support operations in these departments on a day-to-day basis. The Manager will participate in the development of policies and procedures in accordance with PRHC’s strategic initiatives and objectives, including meeting industry professional practice and quality standards. She/he will be responsible for providing clinical direction, quality improvement programs, and patient and staff safety programs.**

**WHAT YOU’LL BRING**:
**Post-Secondary Degree, preferably in nursing.**

**Registration in good standing as a Regulated Health Care Professional, preferably as a Registered Nurse.**

**3-5 years’ management experience, preferably in Emergency or Critical Care departments.**

**2-3 years’ clinical experience, preferably in Emergency or Critical Care departments as Registered Nurse or Charge Nurse.**

**Project Management or Project Leadership experience is an asset.**

**Completion of CHA management courses or equivalent would be an asset.**

**Excellent human resources management and leadership skills are assets.**

**Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively with staff, physicians, and patients/families.**

**Excellent verbal and written communication skills.**

**Excellent organizational skills and ability to handle multiple projects at a time.**

**Demonstrated ability to achieve goals and objectives within specified time frames.**

**Excellent conflict resolution and change management skills.**

**Computer skills and knowledge of word processing and spreadsheet programs.**

**Demonstrated commitment to continuing education.**

**Membership and participation in a relevant professional organization.**
