Our client is currently recruiting for a Yard Coordinatorto join their team in Mississauga, ON.
**Job Overview**
As the Yard Coordinator, you will oversee the daily operations of the construction yard, ensuring the health and safety of the team while managing staff, materials, equipment, and inventory with efficiency and precision.
This role plays a key part in supporting the supply, rental, and logistics of steel forming and shoring systems, as well as the distribution of concrete support systems for both domestic and international markets.
**Core Responsibilities**
- Oversee the execution of all material orders and returns across multiple product lines (steel forming, shoring, concrete support systems).
- Ensure timely and accurate shipping and receiving processes, including quality control and documentation.
- Direct the loading / unloading of equipment and coordinate deliveries and returns with the office and customers.
- Manage rental material returns to vendors and oversee shipping schedules.
- Maintain up-to-date and accurate inventory records using the Company’s software platform (MS Dynamics).
- Conduct monthly reconciliations and inspections of all materials and equipment.
- Ensure returned materials are cleaned, inspected, and restocked within a 5-day turnaround window.
- Oversee maintenance of yard assets, including forklifts, tools, and yard consumables.
- Lead and mentor yard staff, setting expectations for safety, efficiency, and professionalism.
- Enforce and monitor compliance with safety policies and procedures.
- Direct yard traffic (delivery vehicles), manage site security, and maintain a clean and organized workspace.
- Support health and safety initiatives for staff, ensuring daily safety talks, training and documentation is established and maintained.
- Act as the Company liaison between yard operations and office staff, customer service, logistics, and suppliers.
- Communicate clearly with drivers, vendors, and visitors to ensure compliance with site procedures.
- Proactively flag delays or issues and propose alternatives to maintain service timelines.
**Qualifications**
- 3 - 5 years of experience in yard, logistics, or construction materials coordination
- Post-secondary education in logistics or construction-related field
- Certified Forklift Operator (required).
- Valid First Aid & Health & Safety training/certifications.
- Strong communication, organizational, and leadership skills.
- Proficiency in ERPs / digital inventory systems and Microsoft Office.

Pay: $50,000.00-$85,108.19 per year
