**The Opportunity**

The Introba Vancouver team are searching for an Associate Principal, Building Commissioning, to help elevate and expand the building commissioning service offering throughout the Lower Mainland.

Working in close collaboration with Commissioning leaders in other regional offices, this is a leadership role, which will drive business growth, oversee technical project delivery and provide guidance and mentorship to team members. This is a first-class opportunity for a Building Systems or Commissioning expert to make their mark, enhancing client experience and dedicating themselves to technical excellence at one of Canada's preminent buildings design consultants.

**Responsibilities**:
**_ People_**
- Provide the management team with staff performance criteria and information on all commissioning staff
- Meet regularly with all team members to ensure issues are identified and action plans are in place
- Recommend training requirements to Human Resources
- Provide input to Human Resources on all commissioning team employment issues
- Train staff in the commissioning process to insure continuation of operation when absent from the office or when staff is on vacation
- Utilize leadership skills and motivation techniques to maximize employee productivity and satisfaction

**_ Project Work Forecasting_**
- Provide workload forecasting as new projects are secured and provide progress analysis regarding prospective unsecured projects (integrating efforts of the Marketing Team)
- Update Introba accounting system information for effective use by the Marketing Team
- Recommend distribution of new work based on staff availability as established by the team workload requirements

**_ Client Liaison/Communication_**
- Represent Introba at meetings with project clients and other project stakeholders as required
- Company representative at related association meetings, dealing with the City, Provincial and Federal officials

**_ Quality Assurance_**
- Effect and implement programs to improve the quality of our service, products and systems to meet client's requirements and expectations and to minimize costs and maximize the company's competitive position
- Instill the concept of quality being the responsibility of every design team member
- Promote quality issues with all members and in particular ensures that the quality control function is effectively performed
- Ensure the quality assurance and control programs in the company
- Assure adequate commissioning services are provided to ensure adherence of contract documents
- Effect studies to determine cause, effect, and corrective actions required to remedy deviations impairing desired standards

Qualifications:

- Minimum 10 years of building engineering and commissioning experience
- Superior interpersonal skills with clients and staff
- Communication and coaching skills
- Project management experience
- Demonstrated leadership abilities
