Aml Operations Team Lead

Digital Commerce Bank, a Canadian Schedule 1 Bank, and its affiliates that are registered money services businesses (together, the Corporate Group) are seeking an experienced AML leader to support the CAMLO/DAMLO in managing the Corporate Group’s AML Operations. The position contributes to day-to-day AML processes, assists with procedural changes, and supports the team in achieving operational goals. Additionally, the role includes participation in governance-related tasks such as policy updates, reporting, and process enhancements. Reporting to the CAMLO, the position will be based in either Digital Commerce Bank’s head office in Calgary, AB or in its Toronto, ON office. This is an in-office position.

**KEY RESPONSIBILITIES**
- **AML Operations Support**:Assist compliance officers with tasks related to KYC, onboarding, name screening, and responding to third-party requests. Provide support in addressing day-to-day operational needs.
- **Governance Support**: Assist in governance-related tasks, including policy management, contributing to board reporting, and helping to meet regulatory requirements.
- **Change Implementation**:Help the team adapt to new processes, policies, and product changes by providing guidance and contributing to implementation efforts.
- **Procedure and Documentation Assistance**:Collaborate in updating and maintaining AML policies and procedures to reflect regulatory and internal changes. Assist with organizing and making relevant documentation easily accessible.
- **Performance Tracking & Cross-Training**: Support the team in tracking performance metrics and assist with organizing cross-training initiatives to enhance team capabilities.
- **QA Program & Issue Remediation**:Operate the day-to-day aspects of the QA program under the oversight of the CAMLO. Conduct reviews, identify areas for improvement, and carry out remediation efforts to address any issues identified during the process.
- **Audit and Effectiveness Review Support**:Support the CAMLO with internal and external audits, effectiveness reviews, and regulatory examinations.

**SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE**
- Degree in Business, Finance, or related field
- ACAMS and/or other appropriate certification
- At least 5 years of experience in AML operations, compliance, or financial crime prevention, with a focus on supporting operational processes.
- Experience with operation and oversight of AML and KYC programs
- Experience preparing and implementing compliance policies and procedures
- Knowledge, understanding, and experience of regulatory, risk management and compliance frameworks

Experience with Banks, MSBs and PSPs is an asset.

Pay: $60,000.00-$80,000.00 per year
