Job Summary

Responsible for shipping and receiving activities in the manufacturing plant including all appropriate paperwork including customs documents and operating material handling equipment.

Major Tasks, Responsibilities and Key Accountabilities
- Coordinates packing and shipping, determines appropriate methods of shipping and prepares
- relevant paperwork (labels, shipping, commercial invoice, customs). Ensures accurate
- customs procedures are followed for all out of country shipments.
- Loads, unloads, order pulling, shipping, returns and verifying counts.
- Unpacks and routes goods to appropriate inventory storage areas.
- Inspects and verifies incoming goods against invoices or other documents, record shortages,
- reject damaged goods and updates the supervisor as needed.
- Maintains accurate inventory of incoming, stored, staged and outgoing goods, as well as
- current space availability.
- Updates status of inbound and outbound orders in ERP system.
- Performs accurate cycle counts.
- Performs other duties as assigned.

Nature and Scope
- Refers complex, unusual problems to supervisor.
- Under general supervision, exercises some judgment in accordance with well-defined policies, procedures, and techniques. Work typically involves regular review of output by a senior coworker or supervisor.
- None.

Work Environment
- Typically located in a comfortable indoor area. There may be regular exposure to mild physical discomfort from factors, such as dust, fumes or odors, temperature extremes, loud noise, strong drafts, or bright lights.
- Most of the time is spent sitting in the same position or standing/walking and/or there is some
- requirement to lift or handle material or equipment of moderate weight (8-20 pounds).
- No travel required.

Education and Experience
- HS Diploma or GED strongly preferred. Specialized skills training/certification may be required.
- Generally 2-5 years of experience in area of responsibility.

Preferred Qualifications

Preferred Qualifications
- Experience operating forklifts and reaches equipment, shrink wrapping and scales.
- Prefer a Forklift license.
- Prefer a Reach license
