Key Responsibilities:
Consult with clients to understand their style preferences, measurements, and fabric choices.
Create bespoke patterns and designs tailored to individual client specifications.
Cut, sew, and assemble suits using traditional and modern tailoring techniques.
Conduct fittings and make necessary adjustments to ensure a perfect fit.
Maintain high standards of quality control throughout the tailoring process.
Stay updated on current fashion trends and fabric innovations.
Provide exceptional customer service, fostering long-term relationships with clients.
Assist in the training and mentoring of junior tailors and apprentices.
Assess and measure garments to determine necessary alterations.
Perform alterations including hemming, taking in or letting out seams, and adjusting sleeves.
Repair garments by sewing or replacing buttons, zippers, and other fasteners.
Qualifications:
Proven experience as a tailor, with a focus on bespoke menswear.
Proficient in hand-stitching, machine sewing, and alterations.
Strong understanding of garment construction, fitting techniques, alterations and fabric characteristics.
Excellent attention to detail and a passion for delivering high-quality craftsmanship.
Ability to work with clients of diverse backgrounds and preferences.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Strong sewing skills with proficiency in using sewing machines and hand-stitching techniques.
**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $22.25-$23.46 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
